With 12 years of real estate experience at Oakridge, Tom is dedicated to going above and beyond to serve each client and their needs. More than a one-time transaction, Tom is here to be your lifelong REALTOR®. If you are looking for someone to fully trust through the home buying and selling process Tom is your person.

When Tom is not working with clients or volunteering his time in the community, he loves to enjoy all the activities the Cedar Valley has to offer with his family and friends. You can catch Tom attending sporting events, and enjoying being outside. Most importantly Tom loves the title of Husband to his wife Deana of 22 years, and Dad to his children Sydney, Keegan, and Paige.

More than a real estate agent, Tom is an active member of the Cedar Valley community. Tom is an assistant scoutmaster with Troop 500 and a committee chair with Crew 2054, Scouting America from Cedar Falls. Tom also serves on the district and council committees with Scouting America. Tom has served many years on committees with the NEIRBR. In the past, Tom served as the Board President for the Northeast Iowa Regional Board of REALTORS® (overseeing membership of 700+ agents in 13+ counties). Tom is a dedicated blood donor for the American Red Cross. Tom was also the President of the Cedar Valley Soccer Club (CVSC) from Waterloo and continues to volunteer with the Club.

Tom was fantastic to work with while looking for our first home. This was our first time going through this process and Tom was able and willing to walk us through it, step by step, and answering out questions along the way, usually explaining things multiple times. He worked around our schedule and let us take the reigns on finding homes we wanted to look at, while also giving suggestions as he saw new homes come on the market. Every time we toured a home, he was able to point out things we should consider regarding grading, gutters, electrical, plumbing, that we may not have otherwise noticed or considered in our choice of a home. Whenever we may go through this process again, I will ONLY go to Tom Herzmann.

Tom is definitely the Superman in real estate! He did an amazing job helping us sell our home and find our new forever home! I have not met Tom in person, but I can say he was spot on with helping purchase an incredible little apple orchard. WE did everything online with e-sign documents. He was fast and experienced and represented me very well.

Tom went above and beyond for my family in getting us into our dream home. Couldnt have asked for more from him or a better understanding person to deal with. He took us to several different homes that were in our price range and what we were looking for and we found our dream home on the first day we made an offer and they accepted as per my usda loan there were several repairs and modifications i had to do and tom didnt hesitate he rolled up his sleeves and jumped right in helping with repairs on the house. He was there every step of the way and answered an questions ive had. I only gave him 5 stars because there isnt 10.

Josie and I were so blessed to have Tom working with us on our home sale. From the beginning of the orders to the end, Tom was there every step of the way helping us make sure there were no forgotten details. We super appreciated the work of the stager and photographer, in making our home look amazing for it's next family. We had a very tight deadline to get moved and our home sold.
